On Dec. 24, 2013 Jorge Maass received a notice of allowance for his patent application No. 13/938,113.
This application covers digital coupons, digital deals, shopping lists, code scanners, GPS, NFC, RFID, Shopping phone and tablet apps., payment phone and tablet apps., data transferring phone and tablet apps., billing phone and tablet apps., credit card phone and tablet apps., financial phone and tablet apps., advertisement targeting phone and tablet apps., ticket phone and tablet apps., coupon phone and tablet apps., loyalty card phone and tablet apps., gift card phone and tablet apps. and many other applications.
There are hundreds of phone and tablet applications now infringing on this patent including manufacturers of the phones and the tablets for contributory infringement.
Jorge Maass will soon be requesting from Google Play and Apple store that all of these infringing applications be removed from their stores.
